Zachary Sample became interested in building after taking a carpentry class in high school. He was creative, liked to work with his hands, and was interested in how things went together. After seeing design and construction drawings in the course of the class, he set his sights on architecture. Zach holds a bachelor of science in Architecture and a master’s of Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Zach has been with Card and Company for nearly three years and has excelled at every challenge we’ve thrown his way. Zach’s thorough approach benefits every project at some point, whether researching in pre-design, drafting construction documents, or polishing renderings and presentations.

Although Zach and his wife were each living in San Antonio, they first met at a camp in Colorado. Fittingly, they both love traveling, which means they’re frequently planning for their next trip. When they aren't traveling, you'll most likely find them playing card games at the Pearl.
