Growing up in a world of fashion and design, Elaf developed her design skills at a very young age after learning to sketch and sew from her mother. Her passion for the fashion world allowed her to engage more in the world of design.  As she grew up – and after many room rearrangements and redecorations – she realized that architecture and interior design were her true calling. With an interior design degree in progress at the University of Texas at San Antonio, along with her experience working in landscape architecture, Elaf is now channeling her expertise towards interior design projects at Card and Company. Taking inspiration from the principles of Islamic architecture, Elaf designs with her community in mind, aiming to make a positive impact and give back. 

Elaf was born in Diyala, Iraq, and has lived in San Antonio for the last 12 years. She finds profound peace in nature, spending a majority of her free time taking walks outside with friends and making floral arrangements. A true animal lover, Elaf enjoys horseback riding in the ranches of the Texas Hill Country.
