Jazz, TX
Pearl | San Antonio, Texas
Located in the cellar of the Bottling Department at the historic Pearl Brewery, live music, dancing, and an intimate atmosphere set the stage for a lively evening at this South Texas hot spot. Created by local bandleader Doc Watkins, Jazz, TX combines the class of an upscale Jazz club with the grit of a Texas dance hall, all hidden right beneath the center of San Antonio’s mixed-use development for culinary and cultural destinations.
The venue offers a full kitchen featuring South Texas cuisine, as well as craft cocktails served from the antique back bar. Board-formed concrete structure spans between ceramic block and brick clad perimeter walls, the same timeless palette of the original brewery warehouses. Moody blues and greens balance the punch of red neon and honey colored wood tones. Stepped cork ceilings clad in a herringbone pattern conceal the engineered acoustical suspensions tuned for live music performance.
Polished metal details surround the reclaimed wood dance floor, all drenched in shifting colors from back-lit steel windows salvaged from Pearl’s past. Inspired by a very specific history, Jazz, TX became an instant classic.
