This new residence at Bear Springs Ranch carves into a sloping lot overlooking the Texas Hill Country.
Our design team prioritized views from the hilltop by carving the home into the slope, rather than sitting it at the crest. Separating portions of the building into discreet, simple forms allowed for cost-effective construction and opportunities for future phasing.
As a result, the home blends into its surroundings. A graceful approach leads guests through stepped-down terraces that get more private near the home’s entrance. The common area is designed for hosting, its glass walls revealing a cantilevered porch with vistas over a Hill Country valley.
Staggered courtyards and a lap pool surrounded by native landscape meet weighty stucco walls. The slender steel frame balances with heavy stucco walls to complete a vision of a modern home made for entertaining.
